Go Tell It on the Mountain, Over the Hills, and Everywhere!

'Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills, and everywhere!'
That''s a song I just finished listening to, done by BarlowGirl today. Do you know what you're supposed to go tell on the mountain? If you don't.....well, I guess it's about time you did. Let me finish that song line for you.
'Go tell it on the mountain, that Jesus Christ is born!'
Did you pick that up? Jesus is born! Praise God with song and dancing! Joy to the world! Worship the Lord! Exalt Him! Go tell it on the mountain! (Over the hills, and everywhere) Celebrate the birth of His Son! I don't know if you feel like celebrating and having a party, but I sure do. That's why we celebrate Christmas! We're celebrating the birth of God's son, Jesus! And we give gifts to each other because Jesus was God's gift to us. But the Santa bringing presents to boys and girls and buying the most expensive gifts thing took over, so some people forget that we're actually celebrating the gift of Jesus. The thing that confuses me, though, is that Santa only brings presents to girls and boys who have been good this year, but Jesus came for everyone in the world, not only the ones who were good that year. So tomorrow and the day after that, and all the days of your life, remember what the reason of Christmas is, and let everyone know about it.
Have a wonderful Christmas! God bless you all!

"Autumn Time is here, happiness and cheer...."

Guess what time it is? No, really. Guess. Well, I'll just tell you anyway! It's fall! We got our first cold snap on my birthday! I'm thinking of it as a birthday present from God. Isn't He sweet. We normally don't get fall colors on the trees until the end of November, but this time we got it late October! A cold front has just come through, so right now the highs are in the 70's, and tonight it's going to be 45 degrees! The new weather has made everyone happier since it came. I know that it is a blessing from God, and that He is the only one we should thank. Speaking of thanking, isn't Thanksgiving coming up?

Hmmm....

Well, it's 9:35 PM on a Monday night, awaiting the time of sleep. Sitting at a bright-screened monitor. Writing. So, there must be something I'm writing about, if I didn't want to waste a post. But maybe I did. Maybe I DID want to waste a post. Maybe I wanted to to just type random words, wasting post after post,  word after word, letter after letter, keystroke after keystroke. But what's the matter with writing for no apparent reason? There's no law against it. It's not forbidden. It's a free country, isn't it? Who says I can't? Nobody in this country says that a ten-year-old girl named Ally can't write just because she wants to. Maybe I wanted to waste a post! Maybe I didn't even know what was I writing about! Maybe I wanted to just write about something totally random! Well, truth is, I didn't. What I really wanted to tell you about is..........I'm going to be eleven in two days! Yay! Woo-hoo!  ....... Well, while that thought is resting on your brain, I'm going to get some ZZZZzzz's.

New Kitten!

Three days ago, on our way home from theater rehearsal, we heard a mewing kitten while our car was stopped. My older sister, Erin, went across the street and coaxed a small, black kitten out from behind a garbage can. She picked him up and brought him to the car. He didn't even fight her to try to get down, he just sat there against her neck, and my mom said to 'Get in the car with the cat'. She brought him inside, and we brought him home. We set out a food and water bowl, and he ate a piece of food, then crawled under our school table. He slept, and the next morning he was out and about! Even though he has a hurt leg, he still plays and runs like a normal kitten. His name is Skittles.

You Can Always Turn to God

Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
This is a verse that I saw on my Psalm for the Day gadget on my blog. It reminded me of how we can always go to God when we are fearful, sad, angry, or even happy and want to thank Him. He will never leave, never disappear, never stop loving us, and never turn His back on us. He is one amazing, praiseworthy, awesome, powerful, and loving God.
      Just wanted to share that.

Ocean

The big blue.
Sun rises.
Good morning, ocean.
Fog covers the water like a blanket.
Small, lapping waves wet the shore.
A light breeze starts to blow.
Sound of calling seagulls.
Wind makes waves a little bigger.
Good afternoon, ocean.
Millions of creatures, big and small
Living just beneath the surface.
Tiny, silvery minnows dwell in shallow water.
Enormous sharks abide in the depths.
Cool off your feet in the icy water.
Feel squishy, cold sand through your toes.
Good evening, ocean.
Sunlight dances upon the water.
Everything in sight has a golden glow.
Step out of the ocean world.
Enjoy the beauties that God has created.
Including the big blue.
Goodnight, ocean.

Chattanooga Tornado Relief Mission Trip!

Just got back from a tornado relief mission trip to Chattanooga last night! Had a great team who worked hard even in the heat! (Which was, all day, 98 degrees to 101 degrees)Our team consisted of: Melinda Holloway (Mom), Herb Holloway (Dad), Casey Holloway (sister), Erin Holloway (sister), Tony Trinh, Erica St. Germain, and William Schmidt. Look at Mom's (Melinda Holloway's) Facebook page to see all of the pictures! I felt we had shined the light of Jesus and touched many hearts. And thank you God for putting these amazing people in my life: Tony Trinh, Erica St. Germain, William Schmidt, Nelda Thompson, Jim Thompson, and Harry Ensley. I'm glad to be home, but I would do it all over again tomorrow. :)
