New Kitten!
Three days ago, on our way home from theater rehearsal, we heard a mewing kitten while our car was stopped. My older sister, Erin, went across the street and coaxed a small, black kitten out from behind a garbage can. She picked him up and brought him to the car. He didn't even fight her to try to get down, he just sat there against her neck, and my mom said to 'Get in the car with the cat'. She brought him inside, and we brought him home. We set out a food and water bowl, and he ate a piece of food, then crawled under our school table. He slept, and the next morning he was out and about! Even though he has a hurt leg, he still plays and runs like a normal kitten. His name is Skittles.

You Can Always Turn to God
Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
This is a verse that I saw on my Psalm for the Day gadget on my blog. It reminded me of how we can always go to God when we are fearful, sad, angry, or even happy and want to thank Him. He will never leave, never disappear, never stop loving us, and never turn His back on us. He is one amazing, praiseworthy, awesome, powerful, and loving God.
Just wanted to share that.

Ocean
The big blue.
Sun rises.
Good morning, ocean.
Fog covers the water like a blanket.
Small, lapping waves wet the shore.
A light breeze starts to blow.
Sound of calling seagulls.
Wind makes waves a little bigger.
Good afternoon, ocean.
Millions of creatures, big and small
Living just beneath the surface.
Tiny, silvery minnows dwell in shallow water.
Enormous sharks abide in the depths.
Cool off your feet in the icy water.
Feel squishy, cold sand through your toes.
Good evening, ocean.
Sunlight dances upon the water.
Everything in sight has a golden glow.
Step out of the ocean world.
Enjoy the beauties that God has created.
Including the big blue.
Goodnight, ocean.

Chattanooga Tornado Relief Mission Trip!
Just got back from a tornado relief mission trip to Chattanooga last night! Had a great team who worked hard even in the heat! (Which was, all day, 98 degrees to 101 degrees)Our team consisted of: Melinda Holloway (Mom), Herb Holloway (Dad), Casey Holloway (sister), Erin Holloway (sister), Tony Trinh, Erica St. Germain, and William Schmidt. Look at Mom's (Melinda Holloway's) Facebook page to see all of the pictures! I felt we had shined the light of Jesus and touched many hearts. And thank you God for putting these amazing people in my life: Tony Trinh, Erica St. Germain, William Schmidt, Nelda Thompson, Jim Thompson, and Harry Ensley. I'm glad to be home, but I would do it all over again tomorrow. :)

Yep. You've All Had It
Writers Block. (And yes, I do have to capitalize it to make it sound more intimidating.)I know all you writers have had it at least twice in your life. The time where you know what you want to say, you just don't know what you want to say. All you writers will probably say, "Pish-posh, what are you talking about? I always know what I want to say." But it's OK if you've had writers block because everyone has had it at least twice in their life. (I know I just said that, but I wanted to make sure no one missed it.) So whether you're writing a book, a paper, a story, or any kind of word assembly, you can always remember, uh, you can always remember, always rememmer...Well, just don't let it get you down when you have writers block, K? OK.
